Shallow?

Think back to your first crush… were the earlier crushes that much different from those who you are attracted today? Studies have shown that by the age of 8 we begin to develop “our type”. Honestly, I think mine started even younger. Now I didn’t always date “my type” because I had a lot of desperate years where I would take what I could get.  But my type hasn’t strayed all that much. I never liked the super big muscle guys (although I did date one from match.com). It ended when he confessed that he wanted to be a stripper and texted me some nude poses. That was always a massive turn off. I also never cared much for the super educated, cerebral type. For me I have always liked the funny, quirky guy with the boy next door type of looks. What I learned in High School about Valentines Day!

Stoughton High School back in the 80’s holds both good and bad memories for me. The worst came from that dreaded February 14! In all 4 years of high school I never got up to claim that rose. First let me tell you this whole concept is ridiculous! Why would the school even consider trying to teach these students that crushes, dating and love are valuable...

Someone who allegedly loved her over the past 8 years, yet took her life in a rage of anger. They were two kids that began a relationship when they were about 14 and 17 years of age. I don’t have all of the answers and still can’t wrap my mind around how this comes to be. But I have my thoughts on this subject. Not that these ideas could have solved or prevented this but I think they are worth listening to. I personally have two beautiful boys. One is 12 years old and the other just four. How cute is it that they both have crushes on a girl with the same name? It is really not that cute at all. I have heard people ask...
